Itinerary
Students will be planning and creating a day-to-day itinerary of their dream vacation, including transportation, lodging and attractions. The student’s final itinerary will be completed individually, however, elements of the itinerary will be completed as a group. Students will be presenting the itineraries as part of their final presentation to both their class and parents. Students are able to choose how they will present the information, examples are found in the resources. Checklist | Rubric
Budget
The budget will outline a detailed report of the expenses of the trip, everything from transportation to food. The conversion of currencies and setting up a budget in Google Sheets will be done as a whole group. Students will be entering their expenses individually. The final budget will be presented as part of the presentation to both the class and parents. Checklist | Rubric
Parent Proposal
The parent proposal will be a visual representation of the highlights of each student’s vacation. This portion of the project will be completed individually by each student and presented to the class and their parents. Checklist | Rubric
Performance:
Parent Presentation
The parent presentation will be the last day of the project. Each student will present both their itinerary and budget to their parents, with the goal of convincing their parents to take them on the trip. Students are able to choose how they will present the information, examples are found in the resources. Rubric

3-2-1 Countdown
Students will be complete this three times throughout the project; after the designated research time for the selection of country, climate and attractions. This assessment gives students the opportunity to reflect on their research and guide future research. 3-2-1 Countdown
Peer Review
Students will share their products with at least two classmates and will be provided feedback and suggestions about their vacation, presentation, and/or selected product. This will not only allow other students to learn about different countries, but will also give each student the opportunity to make changes and adjustments to their project before presenting to their parents. Survey
